New Research Manager joins Viktoria Institute
Mats Williander will join Viktora Institute as a new Research Manager, together with Christian Grante, for the area Active Systems.
Mats is currently the CEO of CONNECT Väst and will join Viktoria Institute as soon as a successor is in place or latest November 28. Mats holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Chalmers University of Technology, 1980), an MBA (School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg, 1992) and a Ph.D. in Technology Management (Chalmers University of Technology, 2006). Mats has more than 30 years experience from several business sectors such as the car industry, microwave business, IT consulting, manufacturing and the energy sector. He has had positions in R&D, business development, business strategy and management.
Mats main research interest is on Innovation for Sustainable Development, which also was focused in his dissertation when he worked at Volvo Car Corp. With the recruitment of Mats, Viktoria Institute grow its critical mass on the important sustainability issues within the transport sector.
