Open Platform for Nomadic Devices
The objective of OPND is to develop a strategy and open software infrastructure for handling all sort of peripheral (to the car) devices that increasingly pervade people's lives. Given the product life differences between the automotive and consumer electronics industries, different strategies for nomadic device integration are explored as to develop a direction for viable and sustainable in-car software architectures.
The project partners involved are Saab Automobile, Volvo Technology, Scania, SonyEricsson, Appello, auSystem, and Viktoria Institute.
