Dick StenmarkDick Stenmark, Associate Professor.
Dick Stenmark is managing this sub-project as well as taking part in the daily activities. Dick has a background in Knowledge and Content Management but is now focusing on information seeking issues. When Dick worked for Volvo IT he used to be responsible for intranet search and has lots of useful experiences from organisational information seeking. His current research interests concerns the use of web search engines on intranets.

Fredric LandqvistFredric Landqvist, doctoral student.
Fredric Landqvist focuses his research on "Individualised information services and arbitrary knowledge clusters". He has a background from Adcore, Volvo IT and Frontec, and is currently also engaged as a teacher on the Business Technology programme at the IT University.

TalineTaline Jadaan, research assistant.
Taline has a background in informatics from the university of Trollhättan/Uddevalla. During 2004/2005 she finalised her master progam in Business Technology at the IT-university of Göteborg and is now employed as a research assistant. Her current research focuses on intranet search engine usage. Taline is an analytical, caring person who enjoys all the good in life, loves to travel, see new places and meet different cultures.

HasseNatalie Hans Willberg, Natalie Afsarinejad, Master students in informatics.
Hans and Natalie tried to understand how information is valued in organisations in order to produce a model that can guide organisations when trying to improve their information access. By combining in-depth interviews with questionnaires they indentified aspects that influence how internal, unstructured, electronic information is used in organisations.




Artur & Richard Artur Foxander, Richard Wallmark, Master students in computational linguistics.
In his spare time, Artur frequents various social establishments where he interacts with selected members of the opposite sex. Richard enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, watching movies, partying and playing videogames with his mates. Rumour has it that he is planning to grow a beard in his next life.

In their thesis work, Artur and Richard examine the the content of three intranet search engine log files and intend to establish the most commonly used search terms and their frequency and examine how large portion of these terms are persistent across time. They shall also categorise the terms to find what types of information needs are present in an organisation.

TiaTia Liljestrand, Master students in informatics.
Tia has a background in informatics from the university of Göteborg In the fall of 2004 she started her master progam in Business Technology at the IT-university of Göteborg. Tia is an objective person, full of experience and always happy who loves the outdoor life and spending time with her sister and fiancé.

Her thesis work (together with Taline Jadaan) is to detect and understand changes in user behaviour by analysing intranet search engine log file patterns from 2000-2004.


HenrikHenrik Strindberg, Master student in informatics

Henrik's thesis consists of an analysis of patterns in self-organising maps (SOM) based on intranet users' search behaviour. Based on search engine log's from Volvo, Henrik was able to identify 6 clusters of user behaviour. A subset of the thesis was presented at IRIS 30 in Tampere, Finland.




Annika, Michael, SandraAnnika Persson Jägerud, Michael Törnqvist, Sandra Johansson, Master students in informatics.
Annika has a worked with document management, software support and teaching, at Kvaerner Pulping AB. She is interested in people, history, architecture, old English roses and cooking.
Michael has a background in fabrication industry, small scale production, prototype making. He is a born innovator and a philosopher. He is interested in human behaviour, astronomy and his two dogs (boxers).
Sandra has a background in social service (child care as well as geriatric care). She has a genuine interest in technology, contemporary history as well as human behaviour. The marine surrondings is her natural environment.

The topic of their thesis is "A comparison of information need at different levels in an organisation" (strategic as well as operational).


Mikael, Magnus, ChristerMikael Hellström, Magnus Kollberg, Christer Larsson, Master students in informatics.
Mikael Hellström enjoys playing pool, spending time infront of his computer and doing things with his friends. He has worked as a crupier and as a manager of Knutsson casino onboard the boats between Sweden and Germany/Norway.
Magnus Kollberg is majoring in IT-management and his previous work during the education includes some essays regarding pros and cons for outsourcing and competetive use of IT.
Christer Larsson has a background from medical and social services. On his spare time he is occupied with being on the board of a handball club and maintaining their website, fitness training, downhill skiing, indoor bandy and his family.

The topic of their thesis is information sharing in corporate intranets and how intranets are used to satisfy people's information needs.


BeateBeate Berg, Master student in informatics.
Beate Berg has a background from the private side of the IT and Telecom sector. She has a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Dalarna University and is currently focusing on her master thesis at Gothenburg University.

The topic for her thesis is corporate portals and their effect on users' infoirmation seeking behaviour.





Jennie, MarianaJennie Petersson, Mariana Forsberg, Master students in informatics.
Jennie Petersson works extra as a Securitas guard at Volvo Car Corporation. Her spare time interests are films, books, step aerobics and interior design.
Mariana Forsberg has a background in sales and Total Quality Monitoring and has spent five years working in Scotland. She enjoys traveling, politics and the outdoors.

In their thesis they are concerned with questions regarding information seeking and how an unstructured and decentralized intranet effects the information seeking process.
