Editorial engagements

I am currently a member of the Editorial Board for two international journals: International Journal of Knowledge Management (IJKM) and International Journal of Social and Organizational Dynamics in Information Technology (IJSODIT)

International Journal of Knowledge Management (IJKM)

The IJKM is a quarterly journal that covers all aspects of knowledge regulation and order including organisational issues, technology support, and knowledge representation. IJKM provides a forum for global aspects of this significant field of study differing cultural perspectives on its use of knowledge and knowledge management. This journal also focuses on the technical issues associated with the creation and implementation of knowledge management systems.

The primary objective of the IJKM is to provide a comprehensive cross discipline forum for advancing the understanding of the organisational, technical, human, and cognitive issues associated with the creation, capture, transfer and use of knowledge, primarily in organisations. The secondary objective of IJKM is to share knowledge among researchers and practitioners with respect to the design, development, implementation and maintenance of effective knowledge management systems.

The journal publishes high quality empirical and theoretical research covering all aspects of knowledge management. In addition to full-length research manuscripts, the journal publishes insightful research and practice notes as well as case studies from all areas of knowledge management.

Submissions are especially encouraged covering the following topics:

  • Basic theories associated with knowledge creation, knowledge management, and organisational memory
  • Case studies of knowledge management and organisational memory systems
  • Cognitive theories of knowledge management and organisational memory
  • Design of information and communication systems that facilitate knowledge transfer and sharing

  • Issues related to the capture, storage, search, retrieval, and use of knowledge and organisational memory

International Journal of Social and Organizational Dynamics in Information Technology (IJSODIT)

The IJSODIT is a quarterly journal that provides an international forum for practitioners and researchers from social sciences, along with information systems professional practitioners to contribute and share developed, useful, and innovative research regarding the impact and future of IT in the workplace. Covering all aspects of social issues impacted by information technology in organisations and inter-organisational structures, IJSODIT presents the conceptualisation of specific social issues and their associated constructs. This journal encompasses designs and infrastructures, empirical validation of social models, and case studies illustrating socialisation success and failures relating to Information technology.

The mission of the IJSODIT is to provide a forum for information technology educators, researchers, and practitioners to advance the practice and understanding of technology and the impacts of technology on social behaviors and norms in the workplace and society. IJSODIT bridges the gap between technology and social sciences in an effort to increase understanding of the relationship between information technology the cultural and social dynamics within the workplace. Featuring major emphasis on the impact technology utilisation has on the workforce in social dynamics, this journal publishes full-length research manuscripts, insightful research and practice notes, and case studies.
