abstract

In Tejp, we perform a series of low-tech experiments in order to explore various means of overlaying personal traces and information on public spaces. Aiming towards context-specific and personal expression and towards more embodied interaction with locative media, we voluntarily avoid the use of PDAs and let the physical urban space mediate the interaction between users and information layers: f.ex. audio tags fixed on walls whispering audio messages to by-passers leaning towards it.
'Tejp' is Swedish for 'tape' and is pronounced the same way.

my contribution I co-developed the concepts, participated in the street art formative study and design process, and implemented the electronics in the prototypes.
