Patrik Andersson joins Digital Innovation

We are happy to welcome Patrik Andersson to RISE Viktoria as a researcher within Digital Innovation. He has a strong interest in security, privacy and integrity as well as possesses a passion and curiosity for new emerging technologies, governance and economic structures.

As a veteran he first started his career in the Swedish armed forces but decided to pursue a civilian career after a tour to Afghanistan in 2012. Patrik has a Master of science degree, via the Business Engineering program in Industrial Engineering and Management at Borås University and Management and Economics of innovation program at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. While writing his master thesis at the Challenge lab at Chalmers on the topic of exploring blockchain technology in Mobility-as-a-Service at Chalmers, he became aware of the need for sustainability. Before he boarded RISE Viktoria and the Digital Innovations team as a researcher, he conducted a study on smart cities on behalf of Ericsson and worked as an IT-management consultant on a local firm in Gothenburg, Sweden. Patrik also has a great interest in civil society issues and acting as the chairman of the board in the local chapter of the non-profit organization jagvillhabostad.nu.  He is one of the founders of the Swedish MyData hub. On his spare time he is hosting meetups as an active member of the decentralized autonomous organization referred to as Ethereum Gothenburg.
