ELECTRIFIED CITY DISTRIBUTION 2

Distribution of goods and waste management is a large contributor to heavy-duty traffic within a city. Electrification of these fleets would reduce all types of emissions ranging from noise to NOx and CO2 from the vehicles. This project, which is a continuation of the project Electrified City distribution, aims to investigate how urban goods distribution fleets can be electrified and how new logistics solutions, informational infrastructure and incentives can influence the transition in a positive way.

In this project, Viktoria Swedish ICT will perform an impact evaluation to further detail the knowledge how ICT can impact the business case for electrified urban distribution vehicles.

Other project participants are Volvo AB, DB Schenker, The Swedish Transport Administration, and the School of Business, Economics and Law at Göteborg University.
