Project Description

Making healthcare accessible closer to the population is critical to reducing care times and avoiding unnecessary suffering. This project investigates using a new type of drone to meet these needs by delivering drugs and samples to the local health rooms in Norrland. This project aims to develop a winged vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone that can make deliveries in ranges from 50-80 kilometers, in cold and windy conditions. Such a drone model would support the healthcare network in rural Sweden through medicine delivery, testing kit delivery, and medical sample delivery.
